In response to COVID-19:  The public/bidders are asked to only submit proposals by email to purchasing@kalamazoocountyroads.com.  The email subject line must have the item and date of opening clearly marked. If the bidder/public is interested in participating in a bid/request for proposal (RFP) opening, please follow the participation information below.

Please take notice that a meeting of the RCKC will be providing bid and request for proposal (RFP) openings by Zoom and can be accessed by telephonic conferencing or video conferencing, in a manner in which the bidders/general public and the members of the RCKC may participate by electronic means.  The following participation information will be used for all bids/RFPs at the designated time of each bid/RFP:  Additional information for participation can be found in the Protocols for Bid/RFP Openings 2020.

Bid #2020-28 CD Avenue Culvert Design, Fabrication and Delivery

The Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (RCKC) invites qualified bidders to submit proposals for the design, materials, fabrication and delivery of a culvert meeting the design specifications as within for CD Avenue.

Proposals are to be submitted by email to purchasing@kalamazoocountyroads.com. The email subject line must have the vendor name, bid number and date of opening. Proposals will be received until Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 10:00 am at which time they will be publicly opened and read via video conference/telephone.  more

Bid Openings

To conduct Road Commission purchasing operations in an efficient and orderly manner, bids normally are opened at commission offices at a designated time.  In response to COVID-19:  Public/bidders are encouraged to submit proposals by email to purchasing@kalamazoocountyroads.com, mail, service delivery vs. in person.   The email subject line and the sealed envelopes must have the item and date of opening clearly marked. If the public/bidder is interested in participating in a bid opening by conference call, please email purchasing@kalamazoocountyroads.com at minimum of of two (2) business days in advance of the bid opening.

Bid Rejection

The Road Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in any bid and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the commission.

Minority Business Equal Opportunity

To ensure that minority businesses have equal opportunity to compete for contracts and sell us their goods and services, the Road Commission administration publishes the request for sealed bids in the daily newspaper and, if appropriate, in trade journals. Also, names of minority business enterprises are added to the bidder's list, as the commission becomes aware of them. In addition, a copy of each bidding notice is sent to the F.W. Dodge Co. and the Builders Exchange for posting at their offices.
