In support of "Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day" on October 10, 2022

Kalamazoo County kids ages 3 through 14 are invited to enter artwork representing their thoughts on making the roads a safer place! 

How to Participate:

1. Use our diamond shaped template: Click Here to Download the Flyer and Template

2. Any physical materials can be used including paint, crayon, pencil, pastel, collage, etc. (no computer aided artwork)

3. ALL entries must be emailed or postmarked by October 16, 2022

4. Fill out the contact information on the template. Winners’ names/artwork will be sent to media

5. Posters will be judged on creativity, originality, and ability to convey a message.

Poster Topic Examples

• Wear your seat belt
• Wear your helmets for cyclists
• Don’t speed
• Don’t drive impaired
• Know and obey all signs, signals, flaggers, etc.
• Drive courteously
• Avoid distractions: eating, texting, radios, etc.
• Pay attention in work zones

Winners will receive an AWESOME PRIZE! Three Age Groups:

• 3-6 years old

• 7-10 years old

• 11-14 years old
