“This information is made available to assist motorists in planning for construction delays,” Travis Bartholomew, Managing Director of the Road Commission said. “Motorists are reminded to be alert, slow down, stay informed, and be cautious when approaching a work zone. Remember, these projects signify progress in improving our infrastructure!”

Please note: This information is subject to change. Projects, road closures and timing can change from day to day, depending upon a number of factors, and traffic delays can develop in a matter of minutes due to weather conditions, emergency situations, etc.

Brady Township

Road: 31st Street over Brown Creek
Current Status: Project projected to start 6/2. Road milling and tree and brush clearing to begin.
Detour: 31st Street will be closed to through traffic and detoured using YZ Avenue, 27th Street, Y Avenue, 24th Street, and W Avenue
Project Information: Preventive maintenance work on this bridge including railing, guardrail, paving, and structural repairs. 
Start Date: June 2, 2025
End Date: August 5, 2025

 

Road: Y Avenue over Portage Creek
Current Status: Project projected to start 6/2. Road milling and tree and brush clearing to begin.
Detour: Y Avenue will be closed to through traffic and detoured using 27th Street, YZ Avenue, 32nd Street, X Avenue, 31st Street, 24th Street, and W Avenue
Project Information: Preventive maintenance work on this bridge including railing, guardrail, paving, and structural repairs. 
Start Date: June 2, 2025
End Date: July 3, 2025

 

Road: YZ Avenue over Brown Creek
Current Status: Project projected to start 6/2. Road milling and tree and brush clearing to begin.
Detour: YZ Avenue will be closed to through traffic and detoured using 32nd Street, X Avenue, 31st Street, 27th Street, Y Avenue, 24th Street, and W Avenue, Y Avenue
Project Information: Preventive maintenance work on this bridge including railing, guardrail, paving, and structural repairs.

Current Status: Concrete work anticipated for the week of 5/19 on the southbound lanes and west side of the roadway. 
Detour: Lane closures are anticipated. No closure and detour of the roadway is anticipated.
Project Information: 1.0 miles of construction, including concrete shoulder and median, rumble strips, and paving.

Road: Q Avenue - 29th Street to 34th Street
Current Status: Clearing, installing SESC measures, and lowering monuments week of 5/19.
Detour: Q Avenue will be closed to through traffic during the project. The detour route is 29th Street, S Avenue, and 36th Street.
Project Information: This project includes tree clearing, crushing the existing asphalt to gravel-sized pieces and mixing with the existing gravel, widening of the shoulder, paving, and drainage improvements, including some ditching.

End Date: August 4, 2025

Richland Township

Road:  G Avenue - 28th Street to 38th Street (Richland / Ross Townships)
Current Status:  Paving is anticipated at the intersection of G Avenue at 28th street early during the week of 5/19. Road widening on the north side of the intersections at 31st Street, 32nd Street, 35th Street, and 38th Street. Traffic will be maintained at these intersections during work. 
Detour:  G Avenue will be closed to through traffic at 28th Street. The detour route is 32nd Street and Gull Road. 28th Street will also be closed to through traffic. The detour route is Gull Road, Sprinkle Road, and H Avenue.
Project Information:  Center left turn lane construction at 5 intersections along G Avenue at 28th Street, 31st Street, 32nd Street, 35th Street, and 38th Street. The project includes road widening for turn lanes, paving, and drainage improvements, including some ditching.

End Date:  August 31, 2025
