Closure of the Northbound and Southbound Lanes
of Henson Avenue at Gull Road

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – August 19, 2026 – Both the northbound and southbound lanes of
Henson Avenue where they intersect with Gull Road, will be closed beginning Monday, August
31, 2026, through Friday, October 16, 2026. The closure is necessary to allow crews to complete new water main installations.

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to follow the posted detour route. If
pedestrian access is impacted, a local pedestrian detour will be utilized. Access to all homes and local businesses within the project area will be maintained throughout the duration of the
project.
